In 1986, my husband and I began building a Christian ministry that developed into a full fledged church in Houston, TX. In addition to my role as pastor's wife, I also served as Director of Christian Education & the principal Counselor helping members of the church and local community.
We noticed a need in our local community for counseling services with a Christian perspective. I began working diligently on developing a curriculum & training a staff for a Christian counseling ministry to fill this need & to provide counseling services to local families.
As our ministry grew, I redirected my career to focus more on the online counseling ministry that will afford me to reach more people through internet counseling & coaching services as well as post graduate education.
Organizing this website has been a tremendous blessing and I am privileged to have the prayerful support of those around me, most of all, my husband and friend. Further, I am grateful to the Heavenly Father for allowing me to have had the success in working with men, women and children and for proclaiming the Good News - the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
About Dr. Mary Rogers - Christian Counselor
Greetings in the name of the Most High God:
In a christian counseling session, I will get to know about you so it’s only fair that I tell you about myself. I am a native Houstonian happily married for forty (40) years, with three (3) children, five (5) grandchildren, and (3) god-children. I graduated from G. W. Carver Sr. High School in Aldine Independent School District. Afterwards I went on to obtain a B.S. in Social Work from Texas Southern University & a Masters Degree in Christian Education from Houston Graduate School of Theology. I am a Certified Christian Counselor and have been bestowed an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College in Sacramento, California. In addition, I currently hold valid licenses in the following areas:
- Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), State of Texas
- Marriage and Family Therapist, State of Texas
- Day Care Director, State of Texas.
For more than 30 years I’ve worked helping families, couples, children, and individual adults. I’ve worked for as a Social Worker for Child Protective Services in the State of Texas for over 12 years including – Investigations, Family Service Supervision & Adoption Placement Coordination. Maintaining my various licenses requires continual learning and development through a variety of invaluable training and professional development seminars.
